Last week, I wrote an issue of this newsletter that contained links to and images of podcasts sent to me via press releases throughout the week. I get a lot of them and usually don’t do anything with them BUT have recently decided that I’m going to include these new releases in this newsletter because:
I find it interesting to note what the public relations and marketing companies are up to and who they’re working with
These emails are usually a good indicator of which celebs are making the rounds, AKA promoting things they’re starring in
I also get a bunch of press releases from independent creators and I want to give them a boost whenever possible
In addition to press releases, this newsletter is also reader-generated. You listen to shows I post. You leave a comment telling me about em. Then, I recommend your recs.
Hot off the press (releases):

Rich Girl Summer
Event planner Valerie Peng never planned on spending her summer sipping champagne at a lakefront estate, dodging suspicious socialites, or pretending to be anyone’s long-lost daughter. But when a very public, deeply mortifying mishap lands her in hot water — and her career in a hot mess — her uber-wealthy older client makes her an offer she can’t refuse: come to his glamorous summer home and pose as the long-lost daughter he believes his conniving family has hidden from him. In exchange? Time away from her actual life ... and the chance to help uncover a long-buried secret.
The Good Life
Created by Modern Family’s Ty Burrell, and starring Jennifer Garner, The Good Life is a feel-good comedy inspired by Ty’s real-life childhood.

News In You
From the press release:
In each episode, I [Eleisha Foon] sit down with remarkable people from around the world who have faced adversity most of us can barely imagine. Together, we dive deep into how they’ve navigated universal challenges — from conflict and injustice to loss and hope — and what their journeys reveal about the world we share.
My mission is simple: to remind us that news isn’t just something happening “out there.” It lives inside us — in our choices, courage, and our capacity to change.
