Welcome to this week's installment of "podcast press releases in my inbox."
In this issue, while sharing a BUNCH of podcasts sent to me via press release emails, I’m also going back to another iteration of this newsletter: featuring recs for shows left as comments on prior posts. Thank you to everyone who submitted!

Podcast pitches
The following podcasts were sent to me throughout this week by media companies, creators themselves, and PR reps. For each of them, I copy/pasted a sentence or a paragraph from the press release. If there’s any editorializing from me, it’ll be marked as such!
Decisions, Decisions
…Shar[ing] a special episode of Decisions, Decisions, recorded live at The 2025 Essence Festival of Culture featuring multi-hyphenate powerhouse Kandi Burruss.
Live from the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, the three spoke candidly about life, careers and relationships to a crowd of thousands.
The three also discussed Kandi’s secrets to maintaining a successful marriage and balancing motherhood, what pleasure looks like as an entrepreneur, her creative process as a songwriter and becoming the first Black woman to be named ASCAP’s Songwriter of the Year.
The Global Story
The Global Story, a daily podcast from the BBC, launches this September with former NPR White House correspondent Asma Khalid and former international reporter at Al Jazeera, Tristan Redman, as hosts.
Dead Outlaw
Audible’s acclaimed and first-ever commissioned musical is now available. The seven-time Tony Award-nominated musical features music and lyrics by David Yazbek and Erik Della Penna, book by Itamar Moses, conceived by David Yazbek, and directed by David Cromer. The Audible Original showcases the entire original musical recorded in Dolby Atmos with immersive sound design.
Unsupervised
Continuing to elevate women’s sports coverage, trailblazing media and commerce company TOGETHXR is expanding its offerings through an exciting new partnership with Dear Media – a multiplatform media company dedicated to amplifying women’s voices and narratives.
Through this partnership, TOGETHXR and Dear Media will launch a new slate of shows focused on women’s sports, culture, and identity, debuting with the release of Unsupervised, featuring professional women’s basketball players Sydney Colson and Theresa Plaisance.
Fudd Around and Find Out
iHeartMedia, the No. 1 podcast publisher globally according to Podtrac, today celebrates the one-year anniversary of iHeart Women’s Sports, the first-ever audio platform dedicated exclusively to women's sports, and announces that 2025 NCAA Champion and Most Outstanding Player Azzi Fudd will join the network with the launch of her own podcast, Fudd Around And Find Out, co-produced with Stephen Curry and Erick Peyton’s Unanimous Media.
Making Los Angeles
Making Los Angeles is a new podcast from LA Times Studios, featuring in-depth conversations with the dreamers and visionaries shaping L.A. Each week, host Glenn Gritzner will interview prominent Angelenos – politicians, business leaders, cultural icons, chefs, authors, scientists, community builders and more – about their journeys and the impact they have had on L.A.
The Oprah Podcast
In this episode of The Oprah Podcast, Oprah reflects on the profound lessons she's learned from world renowned spiritual leader, Gary Zukav. Gary Zukav is the author of multiple New York Times best-selling books, including The Seat of the Soul. Oprah shares why the lessons she learned from Gary shifted the trajectory of her life.
Mushroom Case Daily
Mushroom Case Daily was the third most listened to podcast in June with 670,000 listeners, according to the June Triton Australian Podcast Ranker released today.
Mushroom Case Daily follows the case of Erin Patterson, who this month was found guilty of three counts of murder and one of attempted murder for deliberately poisoning her lunch guests’ food with death cap mushrooms.
ABC Head of Audio on Demand Jessica Radburn said: “It demonstrates again that when there are high public interest stories, Australian audiences turn to the ABC to understand them.”
Prestige Junkie
The Ankler is announcing the launch of a new subscriber edition of its popular Prestige Junkie podcast, called Prestige Junkie After Party, just as Emmy nominations announcement kicks off Hollywood's awards season.
Latino USA
Futuro Media and iHeartMedia announced that the longest running Latino news and culture program in the nation, Latino USA, has joined the My Cultura Podcast Network, significantly expanding its reach to listeners everywhere.
Hosted by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Maria Hinojosa, Latino USA is the longest-running Latino news and culture program in the nation, airing weekly on 387 public radio stations across the United States and Canada.
